What is Slavery?

  The Trans-Atlantic slave Trade happened in 1600 – 1860. Many people still can't bear talk about it because it was a terrible thing. Imagine being owned by another person!? It involved many countries like Britain, America and Africa. 8 million men and women were made to work from sunrise to sunset. About 10 million slaves were transported from West Africa to North America. Ever though about the same amount of people died on the ship.
